New Clothes!

So, Grandma Khaki couldn't resist some new outfits for Boy-o. He didn't mind wearing the hat...at least for a little while, and was ecstatic for some reason about the new khaki shorts, which he carried around the house for about an hour while proclaiming "Mine!" Cutie pants! Looks like he's about to head out on a fishing trip...

Mr. Right at the Royals game

Don't I look tough?

Seriously, Mom, enough with the pictures.
Mom and Hudsy enjoying the game.
Too cool for school.

Celebrating Mom's birthday at Great-Grandpa Watkins' house with Daddy and Gramps.

Looking extremely tall and grown-up...except maybe for the sippy cup!
Just goofin' around, hiding behind Sammy's chair.
Getting ready to go play with Gordie at Loose Park. Sunscreen is a great hair gel alternative for making baby faux-hawks!

Heading up the steps at the Liberty Memorial on Mother's Day.
Taking his first spin on the cool Mickey Mouse trike from Grandpa Champion.
What a happy boy!
And so darn cute!

Random cuteness

Interested in getting help to climb up on the piano.
Learning to eat with a spoon...
...but figuring out quickly that the trusty old fingers are just easier!
Starting to really look like a grown up little boy!

More random cuteness

Little boy blue.
Here he looks like his Aunt Esther, both past and present. Ha!
Look at those cheeks!
And those teeth...yikes! What a stinker!

Hudson's Second Easter

Grandpa Dennis and Grammy Pammy got Hudson this great new wagon for Easter. He was really excited about it, and especially loved it when Grandpa took him out for a spin around the church parking lot...he didn't like it when the ride ended though!
Then, it didn't take him long at all to find his first Easter basket at Grandma Champion's house.
Check out all the loot...
...and the ensuing sugar high!

1st Birthday, Feb. 28, 2007

Hudson woke up, and came into Mommy and Daddy's room to open his first birthday presents...Orajel Training Toothpaste and his very own toothbrush! Now, this may sound lame to most of you, but he'd been stealing OUR toothbrushes for a long time, and LOVES brushing his teeth, so we just thought it was time to get him started on his own. (he got other gifts too, just in case you still think we're lame)
Just checkin' it out, reading the instructions, like "Try not to swallow too much toothpaste..."

Birthday Cupcakes

Hudson took cupcakes to school on his birthday to share with his friends. He wasn't shy about digging in...
...as you can tell here...
...and HERE for sure!
Do you think I outdid myself? But it was so good!

1st Birthday, Feb. 28, 2007 continued

Mom thought I was so cute when I got home from school that she cleaned me all up and took me outside (to a very warm and sunny February day) to snap a few pictures.
I don't mind hamming it up for the camera...
...though this one seems to have taken me a bit by surprise!
What a great way to finish my first birthday...with the sun on my face!

1st Birthday Party!

The party really got started once Hudsy's best friend Gordie showed up. The boys were so happy to see each other! Gordie's birthday is just one day after Hudson's, so it was fun that they got to share the day.
Lauren and Pat showed up a little later with a very very little newborn Ben. He was so sweet! All the ladies at the party hovered, jostled and postured to try to get a chance to hold the little guy.
Hudson and Gordon had a great time playing with this very loud popcorn tin...a great makeshift drum!
